Cinnamon Apple Compote
Warm, sweet cinnamon apple compote made easy! Perfect for pancakes, pies, tarts and other pastries from breakfast to dessert.

jar with tight fitting lid
For best results, weigh ingredients with a kitchen scale.
Ingredients
4
granny smith apples
⅓
cup
brown sugar
1
teaspoon
ground cinnamon
2
teaspoons
apple cider vinegar
½
teaspoon
vanilla extract
Instructions
Peel and cut the apples into small cubes (about 1cm). Discard core and skins.
Add the apples, sugar, cinnamon, vinegar and 1 tablespoon of water to a medium saucepan.
Cook over low heat for 7-10 minutes until the apples are tender.
Stir in the vanilla, then remove from heat.
Serve immediately or let it cool to room temperature then store in a jar with tight fitting lid in the fridge for up to 7 days.
